I am a prospective game designer from Utah. I have lots of opinions about games and the industry in general. Some of my favorite games are Civilization V, Bloodborne, Overwatch and XCOM. I’m a cat person, my favorite color is purple, and pineapple on pizza is a travesty. The single thing in this world that I am the worst at is coming up with names.
I decided to name this blog It’s Probably Fine because it has recently become something of a catch phrase for me. I’m a world-class expert in denial and I’m often ambivalent towards situations that I probably shouldn’t be. I’m often reckless when I game, taking big and stupid risks because playing it safe is boring, even if it will lead to victory so I’m always saying “I should storm that base. It’s probably fine…right?”
My online handle is GrissilyBear. People ask me how I came up with GrissilyBear. About 6 years ago, I was crossing a street in Salt Lake City and saw a man crossing the other direction who was shouting at the top of his lungs “Have you ever seen a grizzly bear? Dude! That thing will EAT YOU!” He emphasized grizzly bear in three syllables like Griss-i-ly. I don’t know what he was on, but I found the encounter hilarious and used GrissilyBear from then on.
